Kingston Links – Permanently closed on the 1st of July 2018.

Kingston links golf course was situated in Rowville, a beautifully green corridor of the Dandenong creek basin that had been developed into a great links course that wound its way around estates it also had hi tension power lines along the south western edge.

Kingston links had a modern well-appointed club house which was very welcoming. The course itself was beautifully laid out and the fairways and greens were immaculate. There was a lot of difficult bunkers and is lots of water to traverse.

The few games that I played there were testing for me but good for my mate Geoff who loves the course. I chose the third hole for my painting because it stood out for me, maybe because I fluked a birdie and maybe that it looked so good before I teed off, anyway I feel I have captured the hole and the essence of the course in this small painting.

Now that the golf course is closed permanently my small oil painting is a record of its once illustrious existence and a good memory of a birdied hole for me.
